How does picture day scheduling work for dance studios? We work directly with you to plan the full shoot day — costume lineup, group order, timing per dancer, and setup requirements. Once the plan is set, we manage the flow on the day so you can focus on your dancers, not the logistics.
Do you photograph at our studio, or do we need to come to you? Both. We come to your studio with a full professional lighting setup, or dancers can come to our Washington Township, NJ studio for individual sessions. On-location shoots are the most popular option for full studio photo days.
Can you photograph our recital or competition? Yes — live event and recital coverage is one of our specialties. We know how to shoot in challenging stage lighting and capture peak moments without disrupting the performance. Contact us to discuss your event date and venue.
How do parents order their photos? We use an online ordering system that makes it easy for parents to purchase their dancer’s photos after the shoot. There’s no pressure to pre-buy — parents choose what they want at their own pace, which typically drives higher participation and more sales for your studio.
What styles of dance do you photograph? All of them — ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, tumbling, and cheer. If your studio teaches it, we can photograph it beautifully.
How far in advance should we book our studio photo day? We recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks in advance, especially for the spring recital season, which fills up quickly. Summer and fall dates are more flexible. Contact us as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
